2021 Toyota Venza Limited Is A Reliable Hybrid Vehicle

The all-new Toyota Venza Limited 2021 trim is a reliable hybrid vehicle.

The Toyota Venza first hit the road back in 2008. It was a new option for people looking for a crossover SUV.

But it was marketed until 2015 and since then has been missing from the Toyota lineup. Presently the great news is that it's ready on a hybrid only.

So you're gonna get impressive fuel-saving capability, but you're also getting all-wheel drive.

You have three different trims. The Limited is gonna be top trim with some new technology and definitely a new wrapper that makes the latest Venza extremely good-looking.

2021 Toyota Venza Exterior

You will notice a blending in the design viewpoint connecting Toyota and Lexus as a premium brand. You could see it with this 2021 Venza Toyota with all fresh styling.

The LED daytime running lamps and illuminated LED headlights and turn signals are super clean.

You're gonna have a functional side air curtain and beautiful lines.

Remember, being a hybrid means excellent fuel economy.

What's interesting about hybrid Venza is the 20th anniversary of the Prius, which was that top-selling. In fact, it was the best seller hybrid for Toyota 20 years ago.

But all the design work is excellent, and some flat black looks great. We are glad Toyota didn't do a bunch of gloss. At the front grille area, you will see a lot of Lexus identity even more. That's not a bad thing.

You'll like the Toyota Hybrid badge design element that they put into the upper grille area. Toyota has created an excellent design, obviously for aerodynamic reasons.

The chrome trims quite tastefully, and the rest of it is all functional with the flat black, which we think is gonna age well over time.

The ground clearance is 7.6 inches give you sufficient room between what you're driving on and your lovely Venza.

On the hood, you will see gorgeous body lines. Yes, everything has a subtle flow to it. Just two simple lines, though on the hood going towards the A-pillar on each side.

Now Venza is sitting on the TNG, a global architecture with excellent dimensions and overall size.

As you come around the bend, the headlight housing with those LED daytime running lamps flows nicely into the fender.

On this Venza Limited trim, you have a 19-inch wheel, 225 on width, and 55 series sidewall.

The multi-spoke design is excellent, and the polished look pops nicely with the particular color and the elegant Hybrid badge.

Toyota didn't put it any lower, which is nice. It looks great. Venza is super clean with a little bit of blue because this is a hybrid color matched on your mirror caps a little bit of flat black.

You have LED turn signals with some chrome built into mirrors. Up top, you have a whole new piece of technology. It's using technology where you could have it be opaque or transparent.

You'll like the nice chrome trim along the top, and the bottom gives it an excellent clean, cohesive look along the side.

You have some flat black on the lower sill that doesn't come up too high. Toyota loves putting its all-wheel-drive badge.

The great news is you do have an all-wheel-drive on this 2021 Venza because there are electric motors out front and one electric motor outback.

You'll love the way Venza has a lovely triangular quarter window. You can see how far the low roof spoiler extends off the back of the vehicle.

Venza has a little bit of gloss black to provide more aerodynamic efficiency. Up top, you have a sparkling shark fin antenna.

The rear is a unique design. It's exciting because when we first saw this, we were a little confused.

We thought it would get too blended in with the Rav4, but this has a nice bizarre look.

It's like a luxury-style hybrid midsize SUV LED on brake lights up.

The housing extends out. The Limited Venza with the hybrid badge is super clean. There's no other hybrid SUV that has a kind of sculpted design. The Venza got a very prominent badge.

People who own Venzas from the past will gonna love the new Venza.

The LED turn signals mounted kind of low to us. We would rather have them up top, but it makes it super clean.

You have such a thin taillight. The chrome trim is tasteful, and the flat black matches all the way around.

You have two exhausts, one on each side with a little bit of a slash-cut.

In a hybrid, you know it doesn't really make sense, but we do like the look of it, so that's excellent news.

Toyota Venza Hybrid Engine 2021

You'll find a prop rod that is all the way over the passenger's side.

A naturally aspirated 2.5-L inline-4 is connected to two electric motors up front and one out back to produce a combined 219 horsepower.

It contains a Li-ion battery underneath the rear passenger seat. The electric on-demand all-wheel drive upfront, but it can transfer up to 80% to the rear.

The vehicle weighs on the limited trim is 3,913 pounds. It's got a 14.5 fuel tank. The MPGs are outstanding, with 40 combined, 30 in the city and 39 on the highway.

If you're a little reluctant about buying a hybrid because you're concerned about the lithium-ion battery's lifetime, Toyota will give you a 10-year, 150,000 miles warranty on that battery.

The other good news is you do have selectable regenerative braking on Venza. It's gonna help recharge the lithium-ion battery and helps with slowing the vehicle down.

It's nice that you could actually select how much regenerative braking gives you.

Toyota Venza Price

There are three different trim levels, which there are LE, XLE, and Limited trim.

The MSRP is:

  • LE: $32,470
  • XLE: $36,000
  • Limited: $39,800
Let's see what you're getting in the new Venza.

New Toyota Venza Interior

The door panels have soft-touch material with beautiful stitch work that kind of like gray trim.

Toyota did a great job. There's no gloss black, no flat black but quite tasteful and super soft.

You do have a smaller door pocket. Toyota put the Venza trim on the speaker cover with a really nice setup.

From the door panel to the dash, you could see the multi-level elements. The stitch work and the silver around the AC vents are great. You'll find soft-touch material everywhere.

You get lots of technologies like a Venza's Limited trim 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto.

You could access AC controls, and you have your navigation. The old touchscreen is easy to navigate through, significantly when you can just push things.

The standard-sized screen is 8-inch. You can get controls, ventilated, and heated seats.

What's great about the ventilated seats actually is the AC flowing through them.

So you gonna get very cool seats.

The only gloss black is below the 12.3-inch screen. Venza integrated the AC vents very clean.

You do have a backup camera. The trajectory is a little grainy, but you do have 360, which is a nice touch.

You have all your AC and radio controls but no volume knob. There's really no room next to the steering column.

You have wireless charging deep down inside, and you also have a little door with two USBs,  an AUX jack, and a wireless charging pad.

You do have an electric brake and different drive modes. So, for slow-speed driving, obviously, you can only do that for a certain distance.

You can have simulated shifting by going up and back on the actual shifter itself. You'll love all the excellent soft-touch material.

The stitch work that Toyota brought from the door panel on the inside is very tasteful. Also, you get two cupholders.

You have seat controls, but you have your heated and ventilated seats if you don't want to go in the screen.

In the center storage, you have a 12-volt. Toyota has a variety of technology, and they want to make your life easier.

The new Venza's key fob is quite stylish. You have a Toyota hybrid badge, panic button. Also, you could open the rear hatch, and you have the lock and unlock button.

Yes, it still a little on the plastic side but better than what we have seen from Toyota and other models.

The stitch work excellent at the seat's design with SofTex material. The bolstering is super soft with very nicely set up, and really adjustable, so the seats are perfect for your passengers.

You have the JBL audio with the nine-speaker premium sound system. You do have a beautiful digital rearview mirror, which is super clear.

Also, there is the newest thing. It's called stargaze. It's available on the Limited trim.

If you look up top, you'll notice your panoramic-style glass roof. It's opaque, so not much light is coming through. You got full of clear glass, which is really excellent.

Obviously, there are electrically charged particles that you're able to control by the press of a button if there's still light coming in even though it's opaque. You also do have a shade that you could close as well.

That's a technology that we've only seen on a McLaren 720s. Now, it's on the Venza!

Behind The Wheel

You do have memory seat settings, which is a lovely touch. Below you'll love aluminum trim, and Venza badge lights up at night. There's also a little bit of ambient lighting too.

You have seat controls easy to get to. Also, a nice full-power steering wheel is basically going to be the same steering wheel you see in many Toyota vehicles.

We wish they would have done something a little bit different, simple on the horn button. We don't really like the black piece of plastic they put here, but we do like the flat black.

You do have the Toyota sensing 2.0. You have the pedestrian alert, emergency braking, and all that good stuff. Besides, you have an electric tilt and telescoping steering wheel, which is excellent.

You also have a beautiful head-up display, and you'll notice the dash is effortless and straightforward.

On the left are all your power, Eco, charge, and all that good stuff. You got a coolant temp gauge and a 7-inch display in the center where you can go through a series of different information.

You got your energy monitor and lane keep assist. On the other side, you have the speedometer and fuel gauge but very simple.

You have Sport, Normal, and Eco modes. Then you have a full EV, which is excellent.

Overall you get lots of flexibility, whatever type of driving that you're gonna do.

Back Seats

You're not compromising room in the back, which we don't know how Toyota did in a significant way.

You have a beautiful stargaze panoramic glass roof and lithium-ion batteries underneath the seat.

However, there's still plenty of room, even if you are six feet tall. The SofTex material is charming. You have a good-sized pocket, rear AC vents, two USBs located down below, and two lovely cup holders.

Cargo Space

The cargo area on the all-new Venza Limited trim is hands-free operation. Just gonna take your foot and kind of swipe it. There is a sensor underneath so that after a few seconds, it opens, and you can get to the bag you're holding.

You have a huge opening, and it's got plenty of height and security shade that you could pull back. You'll like how flat the floors.

JBL's nine-speaker subwoofer system is excellent. You literally rock your Toyota Venza while listening to your favorite tunes.

You got over 36 cubic feet of space, and if you want more, just lift up and push the seats to maximize the space.

Also, you've got a good size spare and plenty of room for emergency items.

Conclusion

Toyota will have more hybrid vehicles in their lineup than any other brand with this 2021 Venza. We think it fits in perfectly in between the Rav4 and the larger Toyota Highlander.

But if you can't find the new hybrid SUV at the dealership, the new Toyota Venza won't be available until late August to September.
